How to Make a Butterfly | Kids Art Tutorials

Hello, my name is Saana Khaan, and here I’ll teach you how to draw a butterfly, Paint! teacher. I’ve come up with some fun art activities for kids that I’d like to share with you. The following art activity is completely free and will teach you how to draw a butterfly! I’ll be posting a couple of free fun things for you to do with me over the next few weeks, so keep monitoring our website and social media for updates!

How to Draw a Butterfly Step-by-Step Instructions

let's start that’s how to draw a butterfly.

1) Half-fold a sheet of white A4 paper. To get a full fold, simply fit the corners together.

2) Around the fold, draw a half-butterfly. (See my example) It’s critical to draw all the way up to the fold.

3) Fold it in half and cut around the butterfly’s outline.

4) When you open it up, you can see a lovely butterfly shape.

5) Now, using the thickest paints you have, paint designs on just one side of the butterfly, and his body, as easily as you can.

6) Now fold the butterfly back up and press the color underneath with your fingertips so that it transfers to the other hand.

7) When you open it up, you can see a symmetrical butterfly with the same pattern on both wings.

8) Don’t panic if the pattern didn’t work (the paint must be damp for this to work!) Simply repaint the areas that did not migrate and fold it again.

9) Once the butterfly is dry, glue it to the paper and add some antennae with a pad.
